WHERE ARE YOU, GIRL?

Random bar, Almagro. There was this girl and she made a scribble, right in her notebook. I love it. Thank you stranger :)

Great movie to get a foretaste of Argentina and one of its most famous characters, Che Guevara.

A FOOD LOVER'S FOOD BLOG →

You’ll be absolutely surprised by the city’s food diversity and especially love this girl’s strong reviews about everything eatable in Buenos Aires! A MUST-READ-BLOG!

In the land of beef, wine, and eating disorders, a guide to Argentine good food, not so good food, restaurant reviews, food-related shopping and my own creations made from a tiny Buenos Aires kitchen.

Vina del Mar, Chile. The “richer” neighbor of Valparaiso with white sandy beaches, sand castles and flower clocks. Sadly the water was already too cold for a swim!

Valparaiso, Chile. Known by sailors as “Little San Francisco”. Important seaport and UNESCO World Heritage Site with numerous hills, picturesque streets and funicular elevators. Absolutely beautiful! The best sushi was served at MORI, yum! A pretty decent hostel: Casa Volante (private double room, 35 USD/night).

Santiago, Chile. You can see the Andes mountains from most points in the city. But also its smog problems:( What we enjoyed: The rising skyline, great graffitis and exciting food markets. Unfortunately the city seemed extinct because of Semana Santa (=Easter). The best hostel by far: La Casa Roja (private double room, 44 USD/night, mansion with pool and bar)! Fantastic pizza and atmosphere: La Jardin, a restaurant changing its location every year - globally!

El Chaltén, Argentina. Second favourite spot in Argentina! An even tinier city at the base of Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy with a truly charming christmas atmosphere. Far from news and communication, we had barely telephone network. The trekking tour to the Laguna de los Tres was beautiful as we got a precious look at the “naked” Fitz Roy (he is rarely free from clouds). Another highlight: Hosteria Koonek (private room for 3, 120 pesos/night, waffles for breakfast).
